Our Story

Built from the Ground Up

Heartland Electrical Contractors, LLC was founded in 1999 by master electrician Rocky Barker with a two-man crew, a single service truck, and a straightforward philosophy: do the work right, show up on time, and never leave a GC with a punch list.

Twenty-five years later, that philosophy still runs the company. We've grown and completed many one million dollar plus commercial, industrial, and government projects across NW Arkansas — but the standard hasn't changed.

Every project we take on is self-performed by Heartland Electrical Contractor, LLC employees. No day-labor. No sub-contracting the hard parts. We own our own tools and equipment that can be deployed on projects without the worry of scheduling rentals. When you hire Heartland Electrical Contractors LLC, you get Heartland on the job.

How We Work

What Sets Us Apart

Safety First, Every Day

Zero-incident culture starts before the first tool is picked up.

First-Pass Inspections

We have never failed a final electrical inspection. That record is the result of doing the work right the first time — not fixing it after the fact.

On-Time, Every Time

GCs count on us because we hit our milestones. We build realistic schedules, staff them properly, and communicate early when anything changes.

Self-Perform Workforce

Our field crews are Heartland employees — not day-labor or subs. That means consistent quality, accountability, and a team that takes pride in the work.

Safety Record

Zero Incidents. Zero Excuses.

Safety isn't a program at Heartland — it's the culture.

Our EMR (Experience Modification Rate) has remained below 0.80 for the past decade — well below the industry average of 1.0. That number matters to your insurance carrier, your GC, and your project timeline.
